Week 11 - Term 1 - 2022

Sunday, 10 April 2022 Week 11 Term1 2022 Well, that term went fast! Term 1 has been an 11-week roller coaster - thanks to covid. Yet through all of this we have become a great team in Room 12. Mrs. Hunter commented that she was excited to come back into our classroom for a day as she also saw how special the CREW of Room 12 are. I am sorry that I was unable to come watch sports this weekend but don't worry you will see me. On the flip side, the weather was amazing and I have been able to see my boys doing what they love, rugby and dog training. My oldest spent a couple of days in hospital (Friday and Saturday), he is now doing much better thanks to Penicillin and fluids. This Weeks Learning Literacy: Report Writing - we will be finishing our reports about animals. We have been very excited about our research and we are looking forward to putting it all together in a report. Numeracy: We are continuing to build our knowledge of place value. We will also look at how we can collect

Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh

This term we have been reading Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh this classic story is about a family of mice who must risk their lives to save Timmothy the youngest mouse. This book covers all of our school values and we have been able to tie in the life lessons. Tomorrow we are going to watch the movie, children are able to bring a snack for themselves. We will NOT be sharing. Also, a quick reminder that kids can bring house colors for the afternoon. Thank Mrs. D
