 Wet, wet, wet!! What a great way to start the week. Today we had library today after our fire drill with Room 14 was great to read with our friends, followed by an unplanned FireDrill.  What a day.

This week is Samoan language week.  The theme for Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa - Samoa Language Week is   Fa’aāuāu le Folauga i le Va’a o Tautai -  Continue the Voyage with Competent Wayfinders of the Ocean .  It's all about the journey of sustaining and maintaining the language and culture and recognises the importance of having the right people and tools to do this. Another week under our belts and for the most part everyone at school, which has been great. We had a fantastic lunch on Mr. Macmillan for 100% reading log returns. Thanks gang for doing the mana and working so hard. We also spear headed pink day which was an amazing success.  We are running assembly this week, if you are able to come that would be great, the reading draw is going to happen so there will plenty of excitement. Pink Shirt Day was a great success - thanks for supporting this. Please keep the antibullying message to the forefront of your students; it is essential that the Pink Shirt Day is not just a one day wonder. We celebrate diversity in all forms and we want our school to be safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive for everyone.  A reminder that we have Ascension Liturgy in the hall at 10.15 am.  Teacher’s Only Day on the 7th of June and there will be no school on that day for our children. The letter ‘e’ at the end of the word does not represent a sound, but it makes the vowel closest to it have a long vowel sound. Read through the list with them first.   WEEK 3 TERM 2 2022 I had a great weekend and hope that you have also been able to have some family time. Thanks to the boys who invited me to come and watch their football.   Please if you haven't yet filled out the cross country form you need to even if your child isn't planning to take part. School photos are scheduled for tomorrow. Please make sure your children are tidy and that hair is tied back.  What a great weekend of sports, the Football boys invited me to come and watch their games. It was their first time on the larger field and it was very exciting. As I manage a group of our boys for rugby and then was able to watch the rest of the kids who play rugby it was very exciting. Looking forward to cheering on the other sports as they startup .
