All About Time

 The children of room 12 have been working on learning how to read an analog clock. The first step was identifying the parts of a clock.

From there we looked at am and pm and what events happened within this time.  Next, we have been working on o'clock, half past. For some, we have moved onto quarter past and quarter to. 

Some kids were also ready to start solving time problems for example: Bourneton gets out of bed at 6;30am if it takes him 35 mins to get dressed and eat what time is it now? 

Please if your kids don't have a watch it's a great skill and they would likely benefit from one. Ask the kids what the times is at home. Try saying you have 10 mins before bed, what time do you need to go to bed?

Week 9 - Term 4 - 2022

 Well, the last week of school for 2022. It has been a fantastic year with your children and I thank you for all the support you have given this school year. Your children have all grown so much both in confidence and shoe sizes. I am proud of each one of them and it has been awesome to support them in their growth this year. Golden Time - Ice Cream Sundae

 Dear Parents, We have been writing procedural writing this week. Today we learned that instructions need to be very detailed and in the correct order. We had toast that never made it to the toaster, butter and jam put onto our plate without toast. Some toast wasn't cooked others burnt to a crispt.  For Golden time we have written how to make an Ice Cream Sundae. I will provide the ice cream, bowls, and spoons, the students need their toppings. There will be no sharing so only provide enough for one. Please have your child work on telling you the procedure of how things are done. Eg. How do you brush your teeth. What are the detailed steps?
