Mystery Trip Info

 Wow, what a great response of volunteers for our mystery trip on the 5th. Unfortunately, we are unable to afford to take everyone. Parents that are driving have been notified today. 

Kids will need to be at school no later than 8:45 as we will be leaving the school then. Kids will be able to wear mufti and will need togs or a change of clothes and towel that is all labeled, please (this includes undies).

We will need a backpack with the following sunscreen, hats, morning tea, lunch, water bottle, togs or change of clothes and towel. You will not need any form of device.


Plan:

Leave school no later than 9am

Arrive at first check-in and complete the challenges with the team (car driver) leader,  eat morning tea.

11:30 travel to the second destination and eat lunch.

2:00 gather up into cars and be ready to return to school by 2:15.

Kids that are on the bus and after school care will be back in time.

  WEEK 6 TERM 2 2022 I hope you are all enjoying the long weekend and the wonderful weather we had Saturday and Sunday. Please remember that tomorrow is a teacher-only day. Last week was action-packed with children viewing the Mother Mary icon in the church and our Year 4 to 6 children celebrating Mass together with the icon and other parishioners We celebrated Pentecost Mass together as a school and weren’t our little readers fantastic. The singing was great too. I know we had a few technical issues with the laptop but the children were great in just carrying on.  During the weekend a large number of our children were Confirmed and made their First Holy Communion.  Our children looked stunning in their special clothes and were very excited on their special day.  We got our cross country completed in between showers on Friday and the team to compete at the Interschools has been selected and notified.  Our Chess team also performed particularly well in Taupo,  being placed first, second

Week 3 - Term 1 - 2022

  13/02/22 Kia ora, Welcome to week 3! We had a wonderful start to the year last week with students excited to be back. This weekend, it felt like we might be experiencing the first signs of fall with the rain, cooler temps and leaves falling. Let's hope mother nature allows us a little more summer in the weeks to come.  We will be starting some of our required testing this week to give us an indication as to where your tamariki is since the end of last year. We will be starting up with our maths, writing and reading programmes over the week and encourage you to talk to your child about what they have been doing in class. Maths - We will be looking at addition and subtraction. A fun game for the car is to have the kids ask you math questions, sometimes answer correctly sometimes wrong see if they can catch you a point for the person who guesses correctly. start at first with simple questions to 10 5+5=10, 4+3=7, 9-5=4 try and answer as quickly as possible.
