Week 4 Term 3 2022 What a glorious weekend, I hope you were able to get outside and enjoy the sun. Congratulations to our daily winners for the maths Challenges put out last week by Mrs. Dinniss. We were only able to give out one of the large Lollipops to Vedick who was able to tie with Mrs. Dinniss on Thursday's math challenge. When I am finally back in the classroom on Thursday I have one last team challenge for you that we were unable to do on Friday with Mass and Mary Mackillop day. I was so proud of the way you conducted yourself at the activities well-done R12. Congratulations to all of our Under 9 rugby players as they wrapped up a very good season of rugby. Mrs. Dinniss also wrapped up her Saturday netball with a win. We have a very messy week with a lot of relievers in. Well, the last week of school for 2022. It has been a fantastic year with your children and I thank you for all the support you have given this school year. Your children have all grown so much both in confidence and shoe sizes. I am proud of each one of them and it has been awesome to support them in their growth this year. I hope that you are all excited to take a break with your whanau and enjoy the break. Kids, you have been the best. Thanks for always taking risks, trying new things and becoming a team. WEEK 2 TERM 2 2022 Happy Mother’s Day to our ‘Mums” today. I hope you are being spoilt by your family. It was lovely to be back at school last week and also to see children being so happy to be back. We had Saturday sports startup at the school this weekend. Congratulations to all children who were representing their teams. It was also great to come together for assembly for the first time this year. We will start singing together shortly and I will let you know how we will manage this. It will probably be in two shifts, Year 0 to 3 and Yr 4 to 6 with the Year 4 to 6 children wearing masks. We will need to wear them to Mass in a couple of weeks anyway. This Weeks Learning Literacy: Narrative writing - we are going to have a real focus on sentence structure and the introduction of paragraphs and dialog.
