Week 9 - Term 4 - 2022

 Well, the last week of school for 2022. It has been a fantastic year with your children and I thank you for all the support you have given this school year. Your children have all grown so much both in confidence and shoe sizes. I am proud of each one of them and it has been awesome to support them in their growth this year. I hope that you are all excited to take a break with your whanau and enjoy the break. 

Kids, you have been the best. Thanks for always taking risks, trying new things and becoming a team. You have all grown so much and I am very proud of you all. Have a great Christmas.

Tuesday
No big plans - we will be cleaning out our totes and the classroom. (Year 6s are taking over the school for their big day in)

Wednesday
Prizegiving 9:30am
WeLDers Party 1:15 (invited guests)

Thursday
Missioning of our Year 6s 11am
School finishes for students at 12:30

Friday
Teacher Only Day

Welcome to Room 12 2022

  Welcome Back! I am very excited to be coming back in 2022, to Room 12. I hope you have all had a great break and are ready to get back into school. A little background into myself for those of you that don't know me. I was born and raised in Alberta Canada. I have been living in New Zealand for 16 years. My three boys and I have been calling Rotorua home for the past 7 years. I love to camp, play all sports and spend time with my boys on our farm. I am looking forward to all the adventures that 2022 will bring. I am a firm believer in reading at home, for the most part, this is the only ask I will have for my students in the form of homework. Reading at home can look different for each person. You could have someone read a book to you, you can listen to audiobooks, read online/device or read to someone else.   The School Fun Run is all about FUN! October 21 2022 Get behind the school and help us reach our goal.  This is replacing the Gala Day this year. How Does My Child Fundraise? Firstly, go to schoolfunrun.co.nz and create a student profile page. Everything to do with your fundraising revolves around this page. Share the page with family and friends ( Facebook, Email or text ) and let the fundraising begin.  The children can offer to do a chore, help in some way to exchange for sponsorship.  The children can have fun watching their page evolve, collect stickers, earn badges and see the leaderboard. Students who raise just $10 will be able to choose a prize! The more they raise, the better their reward – you will find the full range in your sponsorship form.  WIN  JUICY’S FOR THE CLASS The class who has the most profiles by Friday 16th will receive Juicy’s.   Winners will have the Juicy’s delivered to their class on Monday 20 September.
