Week 4-Term2-2022

Another week under our belts and for the most part everyone at school, which has been great. We had a fantastic lunch on Mr. Macmillan for 100% reading log returns. Thanks gang for doing the mana and working so hard. We also spear headed pink day which was an amazing success. 
We are running assembly this week, if you are able to come that would be great, the reading draw is going to happen so there will plenty of excitement.

Pink Shirt Day was a great success - thanks for supporting this. Please keep the antibullying message to the forefront of your students; it is essential that the Pink Shirt Day is not just a one day wonder. We celebrate diversity in all forms and we want our school to be safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive for everyone. 

A reminder that we have Ascension Liturgy in the hall at 10.15 am. 


Teacher’s Only Day on the 7th of June and there will be no school on that day for our children.


Cross Country 2022

On Thursday 2nd June we will be holding our annual Cross Country for Years 4-6 in the Redwoods. Please could all Parents and Caregivers fill in the form below?

  13/02/22 Kia ora, Welcome to week 3! We had a wonderful start to the year last week with students excited to be back. This weekend, it felt like we might be experiencing the first signs of fall with the rain, cooler temps and leaves falling. Let's hope mother nature allows us a little more summer in the weeks to come.  We will be starting some of our required testing this week to give us an indication as to where your tamariki is since the end of last year. We will be starting up with our maths, writing and reading programmes over the week and encourage you to talk to your child about what they have been doing in class. Maths - We will be looking at addition and subtraction. A fun game for the car is to have the kids ask you math questions, sometimes answer correctly sometimes wrong see if they can catch you a point for the person who guesses correctly. start at first with simple questions to 10 5+5=10, 4+3=7, 9-5=4 try and answer as quickly as possible. Mystery Trip Info

 Wow, what a great response of volunteers for our mystery trip on the 5th. Unfortunately, we are unable to afford to take everyone. Parents that are driving have been notified today.  Kids will need to be at school no later than 8:45 as we will be leaving the school then. Kids will be able to wear mufti and will need togs or a change of clothes and towel that is all labeled, please (this includes undies). We will need a backpack with the following sunscreen, hats, morning tea, lunch, water bottle, togs or change of clothes and towel. You will not need any form of device. Plan: Leave school no later than 9am Arrive at first check-in and complete the challenges with the team (car driver) leader,  eat morning tea. 11:30 travel to the second destination and eat lunch. 2:00 gather up into cars and be ready to return to school by 2:15.
