Week 4 - Term 3 - 2022

Week 4 Term 3 2022

What a glorious weekend, I hope you were able to get outside and enjoy the sun. Congratulations to our daily winners for the maths Challenges put out last week by Mrs. Dinniss. We were only able to give out one of the large Lollipops to Vedick who was able to tie with Mrs. Dinniss on Thursday's math challenge. When I am finally back in the classroom on Thursday I have one last team challenge for you that we were unable to do on Friday with Mass and Mary Mackillop day. I was so proud of the way you conducted yourself at the activities well-done R12.
Congratulations to all of our Under 9 rugby players as they wrapped up a very good season of rugby.
Mrs. Dinniss also wrapped up her Saturday netball with a win.
We have a very messy week with a lot of relievers in. On Monday children will be going to a variety of teachers in the senior school as I will be attending the Year5/6 Cultural day at Aquinus. This will give the kids a bit of a look at possible teachers for next year. They will need their Chromebooks only, and where they are going if they forgot is on the windows outside R12. Tuesday the lovely Mrs. Kusabs will be in for the day and will be doing some artwork for the Little Red Rocking Hood production. Wednesday I am also out with the sevens boys y5/6 rugby teams as they compete against other schools in the BOP. Thursday and Friday though I will finally be back if there are any issues please just let me know.

This week:
R.E. = God called Mary Mackillop into friendship and He calls us too. We will talk about how Mary answered Gods call and how God walked alongside Mary as she did God's work.
Literacy = we are continuing to look at surface features. Surface features are the little niggly things that help us to get the message. Punctuation, spelling and grammar all fit under this umbrella. Just talking about these features while sharing stories, and reading recipes... is a great way to bring awareness.
Maths =  We will also be adding little maths challenges for maths week. We will be moving into Fractions this week as well.
