Week 10 Term 3 2022 - The Sprint for the Finish!


Monday: Rest In Peace Queen Elizabeth

Tuesday: Dress Rehearsals. Please, don't be late - our dress rehearsal starts at 9:30 and we need to have our morning jobs done and be dressed and ready by 9:20.

There is a Netsafe meeting for parents on Tuesday evening - see info below. It will be held in Room 14 so you'll all know the way.
Wednesday: Library
Thursday: SHOWTIME!  
Hair and make up suggestions can be found on the Production site. Make up isn't really needed for the matinee but is an option, for those who want to, for the evening show.
Matinee Performance starts at 1pm - there are still a few tickets for this show. We will be having a late lunch so a few extra snacks in the lunchbox to eat while we wait our turn on stage might be a good idea. And please remember your water bottle.

 Evening show starts at 6pm. The evening show is SOLD OUT! Kids need to be back at school by 5:30. Our 'Green Room' is Room 1 and kids can be collected from Room 1 at the end of the show. We will be able to leave around 6:00, if you are just dropping off.

Friday: Last Day of Term 
Today is the day of the great class scrub down! Wahooooo!
We have had another incredible term and have all grown and learned so much. 

Learning/Revision
This week we are juggling the show with writing a few different poems for a special present - shhhh!, some mystery maths

Fantastic Fundraising

We have had another fantastic week with our fundraising. We are on track to reach our goal and it is all thanks to you and your efforts. We have over 50% of children who have made a  profile.  There is still time to make a profile and collect sponsors. schoolfunrun.co.nz

Colour In Competition


We will be holding a Colour In Competition during the holidays.  Colour in the picture and return to school by the event day (21 October) and be in to win a prize. You are able to print a copy  here

  Welcome Back! I am very excited to be coming back in 2022, to Room 12. I hope you have all had a great break and are ready to get back into school. A little background into myself for those of you that don't know me. I was born and raised in Alberta Canada. I have been living in New Zealand for 16 years. My three boys and I have been calling Rotorua home for the past 7 years. I love to camp, play all sports and spend time with my boys on our farm. I am looking forward to all the adventures that 2022 will bring. I am a firm believer in reading at home, for the most part, this is the only ask I will have for my students in the form of homework. Reading at home can look different for each person. You could have someone read a book to you, you can listen to audiobooks, read online/device or read to someone else. Week 3 - Term 1 - 2022

  13/02/22 Kia ora, Welcome to week 3! We had a wonderful start to the year last week with students excited to be back. This weekend, it felt like we might be experiencing the first signs of fall with the rain, cooler temps and leaves falling. Let's hope mother nature allows us a little more summer in the weeks to come.  We will be starting some of our required testing this week to give us an indication as to where your tamariki is since the end of last year. We will be starting up with our maths, writing and reading programmes over the week and encourage you to talk to your child about what they have been doing in class. Maths - We will be looking at addition and subtraction. A fun game for the car is to have the kids ask you math questions, sometimes answer correctly sometimes wrong see if they can catch you a point for the person who guesses correctly. start at first with simple questions to 10 5+5=10, 4+3=7, 9-5=4 try and answer as quickly as possible. Week 4 - Term 1 - 2022

Sunday, 20 February 2022 Week 4 Term 1 2022 The Year 4 tribe is an awesome group of kids. We have had weeks filled with laughter and smiles and are really loving working with this little team. It’s going to be a great year. We completed a B.P. Challenge this week to build the longest and strongest bridge. The challenge taught us many things about working together as a team. We also had our winner of the class reading draw - Indie was able to go on Thursday with Mrs. Dinniss to have lunch. Can't wait until next term to see who wins. On Friday we went to mass. Father was so happy to see all of the children in the Church again. We had a strong message from Father that even though we can't see God he is always there for us, that through prayer we can become closer to him.
