Museum Trip


As part of our learning around the Local Curriculum this year, we have organized class visits to the Rotorua Museum. The students will be learning about Nga Korero o te Kura - Our School Stories. During the 2 hour visit, the students will uncover the unique history of the area our school is situated in. They will explore with the museum education team using taonga, landmarks, maps, objects, or photographs of what happened in the past and who were the people or events that contributed to change.


Our class will be 


- Wednesday 10th of August @ 9:30pm – 11:30pm

We have also started today looking at how we can do a project at school around bringing our school community closer together. Over the past two terms, we have been exploring ways of creating friendships throughout the school community. We noticed that every day when we put the games out from our classroom a variety of children would play with them. We have decided to research and then build some sustainable games that we can use on nice days. Please if you have a great game the kids could build share it here are a few ideas that they came up with.

  13/02/22 Kia ora, Welcome to week 3! We had a wonderful start to the year last week with students excited to be back. This weekend, it felt like we might be experiencing the first signs of fall with the rain, cooler temps and leaves falling. Let's hope mother nature allows us a little more summer in the weeks to come.  We will be starting some of our required testing this week to give us an indication as to where your tamariki is since the end of last year. We will be starting up with our maths, writing and reading programmes over the week and encourage you to talk to your child about what they have been doing in class. Mystery Trip Info

 Wow, what a great response of volunteers for our mystery trip on the 5th. Unfortunately, we are unable to afford to take everyone. Parents that are driving have been notified today.  Kids will need to be at school no later than 8:45 as we will be leaving the school then. Kids will be able to wear mufti and will need togs or a change of clothes and towel that is all labeled, please (this includes undies). We will need a backpack with the following sunscreen, hats, morning tea, lunch, water bottle, togs or change of clothes and towel. You will not need any form of device. Plan: Leave school no later than 9am Arrive at first check-in and complete the challenges with the team (car driver) leader,  eat morning tea. 11:30 travel to the second destination and eat lunch. 2:00 gather up into cars and be ready to return to school by 2:15.
