WEEK 2 TERM 2 2022

We had a great start to the term despite the poor weather. Please make sure that your child has a coat or jacket. It is Cook Island Language Week this week. 


3-way conferences are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Just a quick note, if you need more time than 10mins please let me know and we can book another meeting.

Parent-teacher interviews will be held at the following times: • 2:30pm - 6:00pm Tuesday 2nd August • 3:10pm - 5:20pm Wednesday 3rd August To book your interviews, go to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz in your browser, and enter the event srprt .


We had our first week practising for our school production the song that we are learning a dance for is Rock around the Clock.


Friday is dance back to class day. Here is the music if you want to practise for Friday Dancewalk! | SoulPancake Street Team Mr. Macmillan will have some pizza vouchers to give out to our most enthusiastic dancers. One pizza per prizewinner and they can share their pizza with a friend.


Friday will also be the Holiday reading draw. We have 98% return so just waiting on a few to come back.

  13/02/22 Kia ora, Welcome to week 3! We had a wonderful start to the year last week with students excited to be back. This weekend, it felt like we might be experiencing the first signs of fall with the rain, cooler temps and leaves falling. Let's hope mother nature allows us a little more summer in the weeks to come.  We will be starting some of our required testing this week to give us an indication as to where your tamariki is since the end of last year. We will be starting up with our maths, writing and reading programmes over the week and encourage you to talk to your child about what they have been doing in class. Maths - We will be looking at addition and subtraction. A fun game for the car is to have the kids ask you math questions, sometimes answer correctly sometimes wrong see if they can catch you a point for the person who guesses correctly. start at first with simple questions to 10 5+5=10, 4+3=7, 9-5=4 try and answer as quickly as possible. Mystery Trip Info

 Wow, what a great response of volunteers for our mystery trip on the 5th. Unfortunately, we are unable to afford to take everyone. Parents that are driving have been notified today.  Kids will need to be at school no later than 8:45 as we will be leaving the school then. Kids will be able to wear mufti and will need togs or a change of clothes and towel that is all labeled, please (this includes undies). We will need a backpack with the following sunscreen, hats, morning tea, lunch, water bottle, togs or change of clothes and towel. You will not need any form of device. Plan: Leave school no later than 9am Arrive at first check-in and complete the challenges with the team (car driver) leader,  eat morning tea. 11:30 travel to the second destination and eat lunch. 2:00 gather up into cars and be ready to return to school by 2:15.
